Green Candle Part 2

          Tommy can't beleive that his powers are           Zordon says that if the candle burns out

                                                                  be him since it would only hasten the
                                 power drain.   


    

           Jason reassures Tommy that  they won't let     The Green Candle continues to burn.

Bulk and Skull arrive.                                       The two tell the Rangers to get off their hill.

    

         Bulk tries to get the Ranger's device, but          The Rangers watch as Skull chases after

        Skull helps Bulk recover. Bulk gets sick.            Tommy is worried about his powers.

    

An Alarm goes off at the Command Center.     The shape shifter is back, now appearing 
                                                  as the Mega Dragonzord. 


    

         Tommy convinces Zordon to let him battle        Tommy summons the real Dragonzord,
         the monster alone. He morphs into action.         with some difficulty.


    

         The real Dragonzord fires missles at the           The monster loses his form.    
         pretender.

    

          He regroups and becomes the Megazord.        The monster and Dragonzord fight.

    

         The monster has Tommy by the tail                   Tommy enters his cockpit to since his
                           energy is low. .

    

         The monster attacks Dragonzord in he air.         He reverts to his old form again.

    

        This time the monster takes the form of             Jason enters Rita's Dark Demension.
         Jason's zord.

    

         The monster throws Dragonzord around.          Jason and Goldar battle for the candle.

    

         Zordon contacts Zack to tell him Tommy is       Zack jions Jason in the dark demension.
         in trouble.                                                         Jason doesn't want to leave without the
                                                                                 candle but Zack insists that Tommy may
                                                                                 lost his life without help.


    

         Jason and Zack leave the Dark Demension.      The Rangers morph and teleport to jion
                                                                                  the battle.

    

         The Dinozords are summoned.                         The Rangers form the Megazord.

    

         Titanus is summoned to jion the fight.               All the zords combine together to form the
                                                                                Ultrazord.

    

          All weapons are fired at the monster.                The shapeshifter is destoryed.

    

          The Green Candle burns out.                           Zordon tells the Rangers they are too late.
                                                                                Tommy much give his coin to another
                                                                                 Ranger to stop the power transfer to Rita.

    

         Tommy gives his coin to Jason.                        The Green Ranger lose his shield.

    

          Jason gains the Dragon Shield and Dragon       Tommy begins to lose his powers.
          Dagger.

    

          Rita is not happy that her plan to regain            Tommy fully reverts to his regular human
           the Green Ranger Powers has failed.                form.

    

          Tommy practices karate a lone at the park.      Kimberly comes to visit the former Ranger.

                                                    Comments

Diffinitly one of Season 1's best episodes. Probably one of the darkest episodes of MMPR. I remember (at the time) thinking how the Rangers would difintly save Tommy's powers. I really didn't expect his power loss and was saddened by it. This was one of the few times when the  Power Rangers failed to accomplsih their mission. This episode had even greater significant for Jason. Since he never got over not getting the candle to save Tommy's powers. He even regreted not getting the candle during Zeo. They really treated Tommy's exit  like it was a big deal. According to orginal plans  it would have been Tommy's last episode. Thankfully plans were changed.  Its funny how we see Tommy and Kim kiss. Thats something that the  newer seasons don't have the guts to have their characters do. It did seem a little too easy for the Rangers to  stop the transfer to Rita by Tommy given the powers to Jason. But  I suppose Rita still accomplished her task of riding herself of one extra Ranger. The action in this episode was well done. We finally got to see Tommy in his cockpit.  Any time the Ultrazord makes an apearance you can't complain. The monster was very interesting in how he could shapeshift into replica's of the zords. Overall this episode is one any new Power Ranger fan must see.
