1. John Tai, Brandon MaClaren, Moncia May, Matt Austin, Alycia Purrott starred in Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta. The show took place 20 years after DinoThunder. 2. Bruce Kalish made his debut as Showrunner during the season. Kalish has had a lot of experance in children's television but had no experiance with PR other than writing an episode for DT. 3,. Jackie Marchand returned as Story Editor. Kochi Sakamoto was still leader of Alpha Stunts and an Executive Producer. Greg Anorwitz served as Executive Producer. He focused on set and costume design ( he would leave the show at season's end). 4. Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta recieved its footage from DekaRanger. It seemed following the series closely in some areas. But some stories went in a new direction. 5. Space Patrol Delta aired on ABC Family, the ABC Network, and Toon Disney. First run episodes orginaly aired on ABC Family first. Later Toon Disney became the first to air the new episodes. This lead to first run episodes of Power Rangers airing on weekdays for the first time in years (nothing close to five days a week). 5. In the orginal press release Space Patrol Delta was supposed to only be 15 years in the fiture. This was later retconed during the show to be 20 years. 6. Bruce Kalish and staff wanted the show to have story archs. But Disney prefered that SPD be all standaone episodes. This may be why SPD took so long to resolve some of its plot points. 7. Omega Ranger ended up being a ball of light protrayed by a vioce artist. Early rumors seemed to indicate that the show went over budget and couldn't afford to hire an extra actor for Omega Ranger. Bruce later refuted this statement at the Youmacon convention. However some stiil beleive that it is very evident that the show did in fact go overbudget . Whatever the reason, Bruce admits that he should have fought harder to give Omega Ranger a human form. The final episode finaly gave us a glimpse of Omega Ranger, but for only a few seconds. 8. The second part of the team up ended up airing way early on the Canadan Family Channel. Later it came out that the episode was not supposed to air at all. 9. Toon Disney aired Impact a few episodes before it actually was actually was in productuon order. 8. Jason David Frank was not retained for the DT/SPD team up. This may be been due to the high salary he would have needed to be paid, as well as the costs of flying him to New Zealand .For whatrver reason Disney was not itnerested in bringing him back. Some reports had JDF reject a vo job for hid character , but that has not been confirmed. 9. Jeffery Parrazo did not return for the intial team up episode (History) . He woudd apear in the second team up episode ( Whormhole) and even provided the voice for a morphed Tommy. Wormhole still counts toward's SPD's episode count. 10. The first part of the team up ("History") aired during "SPD's" run . Wormhole was the second part. It aired only in Canada and was intended for DVD only release. 7. Public opinion on SPD was very split some people loved it while others hated it. The critics believed that the season was not well written and did not flow well with its own logic at times. 7. Bruce Kalish recieved a lot of complaints from SPD critics. This stemed from a interview he did where he said he choose not to watch earlier episodes of the show. They also thought he was a medicore writer who did not know how to write Power Rangers. Others pointed out that Bruce was trying his best and had to answer to his own bosses. Many still felt Bruce did a good job and that he created a great PR season. 8. Bruce did not interact with the fandom not nearly as much as Doug Sloan. However, he took part in two interviews ( he also answered a question about pre-production after his first interview) with the fandom and posted at Rangerboard once. Kalish thanked the fans for their support and even thanked his critics for sticking with the show. He stood by his work and said he tried his best. But also said that he would take complaints into consideration while producing Mystic Force ( the future incarnation of Power Rangers). Bruce went to two comic conventions during SPD. In his recent interveiw Kalish again empashized the team work that went into writing the show and that he was trying to do his job as best that he could. He also reiterated that Omega Ranger was handled poorly.
