Force Fast Facts
1. Mystic Force was the PR
incarnation in 2006. It used footage from the Magiranger Super Sentai.
2. Mystic Force only had 32 episodes. Which made it the shortest season in Power Rangers History. Many thought it was due to SPD going over budget. Bruce Kalish denied this and sai that SPD didn;t go over budget.. Operation Overdrice is only slated to be 32 episodes as well. So that would seem to also disprove the overbudget rumor. 3. Brad Kalish returned for his second season as Executive Producer for his second season. Jackie Mercand remained Story Editor and took on a larger role. 4. There was some sort of working agreement between Toei and the PR Production Team. Which resulted in Magiranger using some exterior scenes shot in New Zealand. 5. Mystic Mother's scenes were taking from Magiranger's footage. The Sentai actress was the same actress who played Bandora in Zyuranger, which was used for Rita Repulsa in MMPR Season 1. Mystic Mother was intended to be a reformed Rita Repulsa. Many fans saw this as a violation of continuty , due to "Countdown to Destruction". Which saw Rita Repulsa be purified by Zordon's Wave. Looking much younger looking then Mystic Mother ( An American actor played Rita from MMPR Season 2- In Space). Other fans think it was a nice nod to the past and that the contradictions could be explained. Sadly Machiko Soga passed away in 2006. Several months before Mystic Mother would appear in the Mystic Force finalie. |
