MMPR season 3 took most of its footage form a combination of Zyu 2, dairanger, and Kukuranger footage. The Ninja Zords, Ninjor, Tengas, Shotgun zords, Alien Rangers, Rito Rovolto, Master Vile and the Battle Borgs are some of the things taken from Kukurangers. Of course the Ranger's ninja costumes were taken from the show as well. 2. In Kukuranger the Shotgun Megazord's counterpart was actually the first set of zords used by the Kukurangers. In MMPR season 3 the Rangers got the Ninja Zords first and the Shutgun Zords much later. There was no six ranger in Kukuranger but MMPR was able to continue to use the White Ranger ( taken from dairanger). 3. The season's first three episodes featured the new character called the Mask Rider. These three episdes were designed to introduce the premise of the of the above character's new televisons series ( which was of course owned by Saban and set to air on Fox Kids). The episode can never air in US shores again due to the fact the Mask Rider show was eventually canceled and Saban lost the rights to Kamen Rider ( Mask Rider's source footage). While the episode still are a part of Power Ranger continuty there is a strong argument that it was reconed out of Mask Riders own canon during the shows first episode. But form your own opinions there. 4 . The MMPR movie did not fit into canon with the shows third season since Saban didn't own the rights to the costumes or to anything that appeared in the movie. Plus the movie costumes were not very efficient to use. Thus the movie is retconed out of the televions show's timeline. 5. Doug Sloan would again appear on Power Rangers as a different character. He had the brief role as a french painter. Who more importantly was Kimberly's soon to be step dad. Kimberly's mom was played by a different actress than the one used in her brief season 1 appearance. 6. Amy Jo Johnson would leave the show midway through season three's run ( she would briefly return for the Turbo Movie). She became unhappy working on the show and wanted to persue other things. She has managed to appear in many other shows , namely the WB's Felcity. She seems to try to disassociate herself form her days as an actor on Power Rangers. Amy Jo Johnson did recently show respect for the show at a concert of hers ( she is a avid singer). Amy Jo Johnson did nothing unprofessional in leaving the show. She gave the proper notice and is one of the few actors from the early days to leave on professional terms. 7. Katherine Sutherland was brought into play the role of Kat. The character was introed slowly as one of the Ranger antaginists (leading to the write off of Amy Jo Johnson). There was some talk of her going evil again after she became a Ranger but this never happened. 8. By season 3 Doug Sloan had become the story editor of MMPR. He would serve in the role for the following 2 and half seasons. He returned to become an Exective Producer some years after that. 9. Karen Ashley would leave the show toward the end of MMPR season three's run. Here depature wasn't too hard to cover for since the on screen Rangers were tuned into kids for the Alien Ranger mini series. There was only one instance where they had to mock up some footage (like they did with the depature of the orginal three rangers in the priviouis year). Nikki Burrisk was brought into replace Ashley and appeared in MMPR's' final epsiode , carrying the Tonya role into Zeo and Turbo. 10. Season 3 was the year that popularity of Power Rangers dropped. Ratings and toy sales began to slump ( ratings came back up again during Lost Galaxy, toy sales would rise back to very respectable numbers as well). MMPR season 3 marked the end of Power Rangers as a fad. The franchise still endures to this day, however.
